PJSI welcomes everyone to apply to assess your readiness for the program, or to connect you with local resources to help you further prepare. Those unable to enroll immediately are always welcome to reapply in the future.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Pre-Apprenticeship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a Baltimore City resident
• Demonstrate a desire to pursue a career in the construction trades
• Be physically capable of working in the construction trades
• Possess a high school diploma or GED
• Be willing and able to pass a basic math test (remedial training is available if needed)
• Be drug-free
• Be job-ready with a positive attitude
• Possess a driver’s license, or be willing to obtain one
